Triptii Dimri is all geared up for the release of her new movie, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the romantic comedy also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. The trailer was released in September and received an amazing response from the audience. The makers are dropping several songs from the movie and one of them was Mere Mehboob.
Mere Mehboob is a dance number featuring Triptii Dimri. It’s the actress’ first dance number of this kind. However, the song has received a mixed response, with many trolling the Animal star. Netizens are not pleased with the way the song is choreographed and some believe that such a type of role doesn’t suit the Qala actress. Triptii has now strongly reacted to the trolling and criticism.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Triptii Dimri was asked if she felt uncomfortable doing the hook step. The Bulbbul star said that she was not uncomfortable and as an actor, she is trying to do different things. Earlier, Triptii Dimri believed that, as an actor, she only had to know how to act. However, she realised that once she’s offered a show, she should know how to walk properly and for a dance number, she should know how to dance well. “So, I have to try everything. I may not be good at everything, but what’s wrong with trying? You must give it your best,” said Dimri.
Further reacting to the criticism for Mere Mehboob, Triptii stated that people will like some things and dislike some. But that shouldn’t stop a person from experimenting or doing what they want. She doesn’t want to stop herself, look straight, and keep doing what she loves. “If you start thinking about what people are going to say and how people are going to perceive this, then you won’t be honest to what you are doing,” said Triptii.
