Minister for Women Lynda Tabuya has been cleared from investigations handled by FICAC.
In a release, FICAC stated that the complaints, lodged by the Supervisor of Elections in April this year, was in regards to Ms Tabuya’s false and non-declaration of income while the second was of the same matter, but of her spouse Robert Semaan.
“FICAC had registered the complaint in which it was later assessed and an inquiry was carried out by the Commission and based on the findings, FICAC concludes that there is no requirement for Ms Tabuya to disclose any spousal information,” it said.
“The Minister has been divorced since from Robert Semaan since 2016. Therefore, FICAC has made a decision for the closure of the file.”
