Lady Frederick also praised King Charles and claimed that “duty and service run through him like a stick of rock” adding that he’s a “hugely inspirational man”.
Sophie, who is married to Lord Frederick Windsor, the only son of the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, went on to say that the “central” Royal Family work “very hard”.
She explained: “It’s not an easy existence, having a spotlight on you from the second you’re born.
“I count pretty much every one of them as a trusted friend. I’m very lucky.”
It comes as the Princess of Wales is expected to make a major appearance in the coming weeks, with reports suggesting she is planning to attend the Cenotaph service on Remembrance Sunday in November.
It is also understood that she’s already discussed plans for her annual festive concert at Westminster Abbey, which takes place in December.
Kate said in her video last month: “I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
Sophie conducted the interview to talk about her work with the Big Issue Group, which recently launched its Big Community initiative – a series of Community Roadshows, the Big Issue Membership scheme and a new policy call, Poverty Zero.
Earlier this year she joined vendors on the streets of London to sell copies of the magazine.
