A kids’ cartoon brainteaser has left parents stumped as they try and find one of the shapes with many giving up completely.
Puzzles are a great way to create fun learning opportunities for children and help them improve key skills such as observation, perseverance, and problem-solving.
Doing things like brainteaser games can also improve their learning, concentration, and memory, and help them build the foundations of critical thinking for future learning.
However, what do you do when your child comes to you for help and you, as the adult, can’t solve it either? Pretty embarrassing, right?
That’s the situation one responsible person found themselves in when they tried to do something nice for the children they worked with but ultimately failed to help them solve a brainteaser puzzle.
Sharing on Reddit, the woman wrote: “I drive a school bus. The kids love the hidden pictures in magazines I bring for them. We have all tried but can’t find the heart? Please help.”
The image in question was an illustration titled ‘My First Hidden Pictures’ and featured various types of vehicles getting ready for a good night’s sleep in their garage spaces. Created by artist Rob McKlurkan, in amongst the cars, vans and trucks were various icons to discover, some more cleverly hidden than others, obviously.
While the majority were easy to find, subtly shaded or given an outline to help children spot, the heart shape appeared to be no where to be found.
The poster of the image admitted that it had been over two weeks and she and the kids still couldn’t it.
Given the simplicity of the cartoon, aimed at children aged three to six, people rushed to find the answer themselves but it wasn’t as easy as it looked. Can you find the heart shape?
Thankfully for the bus driver and her precious carload, there were several eagle-eyed people who managed to solve the puzzle. Did you spot it? If you don’t want to know the answer, stop scrolling because we’re about to reveal the answer.
The winner wrote: “It’s above the snacks vending machine.” And another user confirmed: “Yes, under the car port cover, above the snack vending machine.” While it may have been easy for them, lots of other people confessed to not spotting the heart.
One baffled person wrote: “I was way off. I thought it was the red part of the book the car in the left is reading.” And a second user added: “Man I missed that! Great job!” The bus driver was thrilled with the answers and responded to the users who found it: “Omg you guys are the best!!! Thanks so much! I did not expect this big of a turn out! The kids will be so happy!!!”
