Gabby Logan, a familiar face on BBC and currently leading Amazon Prime’s Champions League coverage, could soon be sharing the sporting spotlight with her family.

Gabby, who will be covering Arsenal’s match against Paris Saint Germain tonight in London, is the mother of 19 year old twins Reuben and Lois, whom she shares with ex-rugby international Kenny Logan.

In her younger years, Gabby was a skilled gymnast, representing both Wales and Great Britain in competitions.

Her children have clearly inherited their parents’ athletic prowess and are now carving out their own paths in the sports world.

Lois is an up-and-coming showjumper who qualified for the Horse Of The Year Show in 2021. Her love for horses has led her parents to accompany her on the Andalucia Sunshine Tour, and she has also represented Great Britain, reports Wales Online.

Additionally, Lois is an avid runner, often participating in half-marathons alongside her mother. In April, they ran together in the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

“So I said yes and then suggested to @loislogansj that she should do it. And she said yes. I think I was trying to prove that being 50 wasn’t a barrier to pushing myself,” the former gymnast wrote on Instagram.

Recently, Lois began her studies at Loughborough University, with Gabby dropping her off at her new dormitory last week. It was a poignant day for the BBC presenter.

She penned: “So today was the day. And to all of you yet to drop off at University I am not going to pretend it’s a breeze. It’s a day full of wonderful emotion, a few tears and lots of laughter with the end of one aspect of our roles, but the beginning of a new relationship where we parents have to shift our innate desire to protect and guard and allow our kids to use the wings we have helped to nurture.”

“The excitement around campus was palpable, and knowing the adventures that are to come and the friendships that will be forged, made driving away a little bit easier. But my goodness it seems like only yesterday when we walked to primary school with @_loislogan with her brilliant conversations and questions from her favourite ‘tell me about me as a baby’ to the tougher ‘what’s a mortgage’ – she was four at the time. I’m still not sure I explained that one very well.”

“I am pretty sure however that we will miss these kids we have dropped off over the last few weeks more than they will miss us and that’s the way it should be.”

Reuben has followed his father into the world of professional rugby. He came through the ranks at Wasps academy before joining Northampton Saints in 2023.

He spent the 2023/24 season dual registered to Hinckley RFC in National 2 West.

Capped for England at under-18 and under-20 level, he is also Welsh-qualified courtesy of his grandfather Terry Yorath, the former Wales football manager, who hails from Cardiff.

Gabby confessed that her frank discussions about her intimate life with Kenny have occasionally caused discomfort for their children, particularly Rueben.

She revealed: “I make life really difficult for him by having (my own) podcast where I talk about my sex life.”

Rueben’s response was: “He’s like, ‘Mum, it’s really nice that you and Dad have talked about his prostate cancer.”

He then pleaded: “Can you stop talking about your sex life for me though, because now I go into work, they play clips of The Mid Point in the dressing room at Northampton’.”
